EAR CONING.........
A purely mechanical effect is a slight warming of the ear wax and other pollutants that may be present and the smoke then carrying these substances out of the ear canal and depositing them in the lower part of the cone. An independent laboratory test showed these deposits to contain a variety of substances in addition to the re-condensed candle wax. (Approximately 60% of the deposits in the ear cone come from the subject's ear canal.) These included ear wax, shampoo, yeast and other bacteria, hair spray, and air pollutants.Herbs infused into the wax produce a physiological effect on the subject. Tissues in the ear, particularly the ear drum, have fine capillaries near the surface. When herbal constituents conveyed by the smoke come in contact with these tissues they are readily absorbed and may have a stronger and more immediate effect on the subject than if taken orally.
